SMS Terms
Everything about the text messages LoopMenu sends — what, when, how to opt in, how to opt out. Plain English. This page exists so carriers, regulators, and you can all see the rules in one place.
1. Program description
LoopMenu, Inc. operates as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and sends SMS text messages on behalf of independent restaurant owners to their own opted-in customers. LoopMenu also sends transactional SMS directly to customers, restaurant owners, staff, and drivers about activity on the LoopMenu platform. The program covers both transactional alerts and optional marketing alerts — described in Section 2 below.
Each restaurant's customer data is isolated to that restaurant's account. LoopMenu does not share one restaurant's customer list with any other restaurant.
2. Message types and frequency
- Order status — transactional. When your order is confirmed, ready for pickup, or out for delivery, you receive one text per event. Frequency: up to a few per week depending on how often you order.
- Driver dispatch — transactional. When a driver is assigned to your order, with the driver name and ETA. Frequency: up to a few per week.
- Customer account claim — transactional. A one-time link so you can view a guest order without creating an account.
- Review request — transactional. A single text sent approximately 20 minutes after your order is completed, inviting you to leave a review for the restaurant. One per order, never more.
- Restaurant owner / staff alerts — transactional. New order received, payout processed, staff invite accepted. Sent only to restaurant operators who signed up on loopmenu.app.
- Driver dispatch & pickup — transactional. New delivery offer, pickup confirmed, payout summary. Sent only to drivers who completed onboarding on loopmenu.app.
- Flash deals & promotions — marketing (separate opt-in required). Restaurant-specific offers, limited-time deals, and loyalty perks sent by restaurant owners to their own opted-in customer list. Capped at 6 messages per month per restaurant. You must affirmatively opt in to receive these — marketing consent is never a condition of purchase.
- Win-back messages — marketing (separate opt-in required). If you have not ordered from a restaurant in 30 days and have opted in to marketing SMS, you may receive up to one win-back offer per month from that restaurant.
Total combined frequency: typically 2–6 messages per month across all message types, depending on your order activity and marketing opt-in choices.
3. How to opt in
Customers — transactional messages (order status, dispatch, review request, account claim): by entering your phone number during checkout on loopmenu.app, you consent to receive transactional SMS about your order. The following disclosure is displayed verbatim directly below the phone number field at checkout, before you submit your order:
Customers — marketing messages (flash deals, win-back offers): by checking the unchecked-by-default checkbox displayed at checkout that reads "Send me deals & offers by text from this restaurant", you consent to receive marketing SMS from LoopMenu on behalf of the restaurant you ordered from. This checkbox is never pre-checked and is not required to complete your order. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchase. You can also enable or disable marketing SMS in your account preferences at any time.
Restaurant owners / staff: by entering your phone number during restaurant signup or staff invite acceptance on loopmenu.app, you consent to receive operational and transactional SMS for your restaurant account.
Drivers: by entering your phone number during driver onboarding on loopmenu.app and completing the dispatch SMS opt-in step, you consent to receive dispatch and pickup SMS.
4. How to opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any LoopMenu SMS. We will send one final confirmation message and then stop all messages. To resume messages after opting out, reply START or UNSTOP.
You can also manage SMS preferences in your account at loopmenu.app, or email support@loopmenu.app.
5. Help
Reply HELP or INFO to any LoopMenu SMS and we will text back support contact information. Or email support@loopmenu.app any time.
6. Message & data rates
Message and data rates may apply. LoopMenu does not charge you for receiving texts, but your mobile carrier may charge you depending on your plan. Check with your carrier for details.
7. Supported carriers
LoopMenu SMS is supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and most regional and prepaid carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Phone number changes
If you change or deactivate your mobile number, please update your account at loopmenu.app or email support@loopmenu.app so we do not accidentally send messages to the new owner of your old number.
9. Privacy & data sharing
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We share your phone number only with Telnyx (our SMS delivery provider) to send the messages you signed up for, and with the restaurant fulfilling your order if you chose pickup or delivery.
See our Privacy Policy for the full picture on how we handle your data.
10. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older, or a minor with verified parental consent, to opt in to LoopMenu SMS messages. By opting in you confirm you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile phone number provided.
